Chabella Gomez was born in the Dominican Republic to a family of Dominican and Spanish descent. Growing up in Connecticut, as a  young girl, she dabbled in a variety of art forms, eventually finding a home with fashion. Inspired by the women in her family, who would sew and design their own wardrobes, Chabella passionately sought out to learn everything related to fashion as an art form and as a business. Chabella settled in New York City, where she was accepted to the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Chabella launched her label in 2010 with a presentation for spring 2011 at Le Cirque, in New York City. The spring collection, aptly titled Paradiso, was inspired by tropical travels, ancient cultures, as well as the ocean mixed with the free spirit of spring. The line is geared toward modern women who love fashion and combines classic silhouettes with modern influences to create pieces that are fashion-forward, versatile and wearable.

In September 2012 Chabella presented the spring 2013 collection, titled ARTE, at her first European show in Milan, Italy.  Presently, Chabella works diligently to grow and develop her lifelong passion into a label that represents a lifestyle and makes women feel confident and beautiful.
